Donor families, transplant recipients, hospital personnel, friends and neighbors attended the 12th Annual Donor Family Gathering.

The Gathering was held at the National Presbyterian Church in Washington, D.C. on March 30, 2003.

The seventh and newest quilt (third from right) was dedicated while new patches were presented for an eighth quilt.

Lori Brigham, WRTC Executive Director, welcomed donor families and hailed their loved ones as heros.

Dr. Glibert, Director of Renal Transplantation at Children's National Medical Center, spoke of how a boy who received a transplant grew into a man.

Typically, WRTC has enough patches for a new quilt every two years. Eleven new patches were presented this year.
